The Bali Cultural Office is asking representatives from all the regencies and the Denpasar mayoralty to submit documentary works to the upcoming Documentary Film Festival in June. Ketut Suastika, head of the cultural office, said that the festival would be held as part of the annual Bali Arts Festival.
“The documentary film festival is being held to encourage the Balinese people to document important events and fading cultural wisdom,” Suastika said. The festival will be on the theme of; “Taksu: Membangkitkan Daya Kreatif dan Jati Diri” (Taksu: Revealing Creative Power and Self Identity). The documentary entries should be of between 20 and 25 minutes in duration. The deadline for the film entries is May 31.
