0 Police distribute sketches of swindlers

The local police have begun distributing artists’ impressions of three suspects believed to be responsible for the confidence trick that saw the owner of a local foreign exchange outlet lose Australian and United States banknotes worth more than Rp 1 billion (US$103,100). 

“The sketches have been distributed to starred and non-starred hotels in Buleleng and other regencies in Bali,” Buleleng police spokesperson Made Mustiada said, adding that the sketches were also sent to money exchange outlets in tourism areas. The suspects are a man identified as Wibowo Lim and two women. The police have yet to get the names of the women. “The investigators had interviewed 14 witnesses and visited several hotels in Bedugul and Jembrana to trace back the trip taken by the suspects,” he added.
