Bali exports most of its leather products to Singapore, Japan and the Netherlands. Putu Bagiada, head of Bali Industry and Trade Agency’s export section, said that the island’s leather products included clothes, footwear, bags and belts. In October 2012, leather export revenues reached US$1.1 million, or a 25.28 percent increase on the previous month’s $794,000. Total export revenue from leather products from January to October 2012 reached $9.1 million, as compared to $7.4 million in the same period last year.
